Is a Committee for the North what we need to grow the opportunity for our young people? Would it help to create new economies and industries not yet considered? How might we as citizens lead? If you live, grew up, work in or care about the Northern Suburbs of Adelaide this forum is for you.

About the event
This forum will ask the question- do we need a Committee for the North?
Other cities have been using the 'Committee for' model to drive economic opportunity, city development and innovation for many years now. Would this approach help to drive the opportunities for Northern Adelaide and if so, how might we create a movement that truly represents our community?
The North has it's own sub-cultures, world-views and geographical advantages that make us unique. How could we take what makes us special and turn it into something truly amazing? We are risk takers, high achievers and idealistic dreamers. We have some problems we know we need to address, but we've got a great community and huge amounts of pride. We've never let other peoples opinions of us or big challenges bring us down- we tackle them head on and make a great splash when we do. Our young people don't grow up to fall in line- they are rebels who want to change the world.
This forum will bring together those that are interested in exploring the idea of a Committee for the North to ask the question- is this what we need? If so, what is the next step? If not, what might work better?
